2). Objective – to learn to Read & Write basic Mandarin for Day-to-Day living in China.
( Note: we have visited China for over 20 trips and can already speak and understand spoken Mandarin – at ” survival ” level 😅)

Thank you for sharing your background and learning goals! Since you already have a good foundation in spoken Mandarin, I’d recommend focusing on reading and writing characters, starting with the most common everyday words and sentences. Our basic Chinese grammar and vocabulary lessons should be a good starting point. I’d also suggest learning characters alongside pinyin and example sentences rather than memorizing characters in isolation. Wishing you both continued success with your Mandarin learning!
